I think I ended up in 16th place today. I only caught 3 fish for 5-10, but I guess that was good. It was tough fishing; I only had 4 bites all day. Brent had 6 and ended up with almost 12lbs. I did have one fish smash my toad and not hook up. Brent and I had fun and both of us are within striking distance of the cut; I need about 7 lbs. I'm fishing with Kevin Vida tomorrow, who I am also good friends with. I used to practice with him when I was fishing the Southern EverStarts as a Co-angler. Vida is in 2nd place with 17+ lbs. He's fishing shallow like Brent was, so maybe I'll get lucky and catch a few good ones again. I'll settle for tenth place tomorrow; once you make the cut your weight zeros so it's a one day tournament for 50K. All you have to do is beat 9 other anglers! I'm not sure how tomorrow will play out, but I'm excited about the possibilities. I'll leave you with a scene from earlier today when Brent was fishing for the ever elusive fresh water dog fish.
