On 2 hours sleep (aka a nap) I picked up JP & the Netman around 5:00. We wanted to be at the ramp at 5:45 cause of the long line to launch. Into the water by 6:10 and off down river we went. We decided since we got an early start that maybe if we hit the salmon cove we might have some luck.

Nope, my bad. We fished that area non-stop up & down w/ every lure in all 3 of our boxes - I mean everything!

So after several hours of nothing we decided to fish the main river for a little bit. We fished both shores, from the launch down to the bridge. Well maybe most of the shoreline,and we had no chases, pops, bangs, hits, nothing??? The water was very cloudy w/ a fast tide so maybe that was the problem?

Around noon we hit the small cove upstream of the salmon river cove (I think a old power plant or something) and thats where I hit the only fish of the day.

Thanks to everyone who made this happen, for a online based club we all did a fine job and had a great time. Great Food!! It's my first Piketoberfest and I'm already looking forward to winning the trophy next year (watch out CCP)!!!
