We got about 200 crabs on saturday. We were suppose to go out on sunday but the weather was crappy. How long will these crabs stay in a 5 gal bucket. We through some seaweed on them. Just curious, They are in a cool dark area. TR

If you have no access to salt water just keep them damp and cool. The bait stores keep them in wet / damp burlap bags and refrigerated. They will last a long time. If taken care of you may loose a few but you will be able to use most of them this weekend.

Do me a favor. When you get the bull dogs just post the length. Most of the guys post by pounds and the fish never got near the scale. I know a 25 inch fish is close to or just over 10 pounds but a 22 inch fish will never be 10-12 pounds. Anything over 19 inches is a VERY respectable tog.
Good luck this weekend. Chumm and a chumm pot will help and if you use a 2 hook rig try 1 crab and 1 sandworm. The winter flounder are in for the winter and feeding. I have gotten some of my biggest tog on a sandworm.

Tackle shops are gonna hate me for this, but you don't have to either spend the money or build a trap. Go to any rocky shore, turn over some rocks, and you can pick up all the Japanese grapsid crabs you can handle. They have dark stripes across their legs. They work. GRB
