WHAT A DAY!!! The day was tuff for most of us out there on the water, but there were 22 pike measured and brought to the table.

107 fisherpeople participated , far exceeding any PIKETOBERFEST to date

There were 30 " no shows " I won't mention any names

CHRIS was in charge of trophies, and they were PHENOMINAL!

1ST PLACE....... JACK ( of team LABATTS )

37"

2ND PLACE...........STEVE ((team steve/sievel ? )

33 1/2"

3RD PLACE........MADFISHERMAN76 (and his gf, from shore!! )

32"

There was a 4TH PLACE this year.. MATTT/RON would have had it, but wasn't there for the prize, so it went to the next biggest pike with a picture.

DEN 30" (team Den, Andrew ffIII, Cwoodman ) a one of a kind PIKETOBERFEST V picture frame.

MY FAULT :
I totally forgot to hand out at the picnic
Connecticut Outfitters donated 1st $75.00
2nd $50.00, and 3rd $25.00 gift certificates. We got them to the winners afterwards..

THE MOST NOTED PART OF MY DAY: Carter, about 9 yrs old? brought to the plate a 9 3/4" pike!!
He's not a member (yet) ah hem Carter's Mom? They came and wanted to be a part of the outing.

WAY too many people to thank for this deal!!! We had LOTS of help this year, and it's all appreciated!!
If anyone has pictures you want on this post, e-mail them to PAUL@SAFETY-ZONE.COM full size, " PIKETOBERFEST PICTURE " in the subject area, and I'll get them here.

NICE OUTING GANG!!!!!!!!

I really expected to make this event again this year, but I NEED to spend some quality salt time on my new (to me) rig.

It was a beautiful day for your outing.

That turnout is AWESOME!!!!!!

Let's see some more pics!

Is either of the grills in the group outing the CTF grill bought by CTF contributors? Is that bought grill being put to good use?

It was great to meet so many members.

Great job to all involved!

Congrats to Jack for getting 1st place on a tough day of fishing...

Zach relishing in his streak of landing a pike during Piketoberfest...

What started out as a chilly day at the Haddam launch, ended with event organizer P. Dona down to shorts...

Can you say beyond addicted, just plain sick? \:D

Not much of a fishing report to give. I got skunked, and my partner Scott J. landed a perch. We threw everything all day.

More pics to come later today...

Here’s my 4th place 30” little guy, I caught this fish in the clear water shallows tossing a Zara-Spook. I wasn’t even going to enter it until I started hearing the results, man, the fishing was tough. This was the only fish we landed as I fished with Andrew and Chris.
Great team effort fellas!!

Chris had a bunch of blow-ups, I feel for ya Buddy!!

It was a heck of a showing and well coordinated through all the hard work of P Dona, Mitch and others. Thanks for making this happen, it was a great time!!

It was definitly a tough day on the river for pike!!! The water was stained, the current was ripping and there was alot of debri in the river. We had a number of blowups on soft plastics and follows but no hook-ups until DEN managed the only pike of the day for us on a zara spook in real skinny water which was a neat site to see. I can't believe it was the 5th biggest fish brought to the table but thats cool!

The picnic was fantastic, Paul and everybody else that put this together do a fantastic job!!
