I hit the river after work and got there about 5:45. All I threw was a black whopper plopper 90. Caught 6 smallies around irregularities in the bottom. Covered some ground wading, but most were scattered in a 50 yard stretch.

That's great trip. That would be a nice fish if any of the rest of us were holding it. Considering you are NBA sized, that's a GREAT fish! It must of been a hoot to see them crashing the whopper plopper. I'm in the process of moving from Tolland to Old Lyme and will be retiring shortly. Next year when I'm settled I will reach out and you can come down and do your thing with the striped bass and blues with me.
