I hit the river after work and got there about 5:45. All I threw was a black whopper plopper 90.
Caught 6 smallies around irregularities in the bottom. Covered some ground wading, but most were scattered in a 50 yard stretch.

6 fish in 50 yards is a nice bunch of fish, way to go.

Jon,

That's great trip. That would be a nice fish if any of the rest of us were holding it. Considering you are NBA sized, that's a GREAT fish! It must of been a hoot to see them crashing the whopper plopper. I'm in the process of moving from Tolland to Old Lyme and will be retiring shortly. Next year when I'm settled I will reach out and you can come down and do your thing with the striped bass and blues with me.

Good trip Jon. My youngest daughter used to fish the stretch around the South Windsor bridge. She could catch them.
