I'M GOING FISHING AT THE SHEPAUG DAM AND AREAS AROUND THE SHEPAUG DAM FOR SALMON FROM SHORE AND AM WONDERING WHICH LURES WILL WORK BEST FOR SALMON HERE AND WHICH LURES YOU PERSONALLY WOULD USE HERE

SPINNERS???

Did the Shepaug get any salmon? You might have better luck checking out the lower Housatonic or the Naugatuck rivers. I like a few lures by Thompson, especially their twin-blade, feather-less spinners with a red/gold color selection. Here's a tip: Salmon can be VERY territorial and will attack without being hungry. If you can spot one, put that lure right on it's nose. Keep trying and BE PATIENT, you'll probably provoke an attack.

WE ACTUALLY DID NOT END UP GOING TO THE SHEPAUG RIGHT NOW IT IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE WED. FRI. SAT. WE JUST LOOKED AT THE DERBY DAM BUT DID NOT FISH
