DEPENDS ON H20 CURRENT FROM 1/8 OZ DEADSTICKING TO 3/4 OZ IN FAST DEEP H20 ALSO USE 1/2 + 3/8 OZ ALSO IF YOU USE TOO MUCH WEIGHT YOU WILL BE BUMPING FISH AND POSSIBLY FOUL HOOKING THEM JUST MY 2 CENTS

Lee's basically got it right. Last time I went for schoolies in the winter, I was using medium sized storm shads in the natural color.

I PICKED UP THE PLASTICS TODAY AT CABELAS SOME OF THEM ARE KIND OF SMALL I THINK THOUGH. IS THERE A CERTAIN SIZE PLASTIC THAT YOU USE????

colors..white,albino ,chartruese,bubblegum

jig head sizes

3/8-1oz

Contrary to Lee, I find it a lot easier to avoid snagging them with a heavier head, because it makes it easier to tell the difference between a hit and the line just rubbing the fish. I suppose it would make it easier to snag 'em if you were actually trying to, but it also makes it easier to avoid snagging if you're trying not to.

95% of the time, I use 1/2 to 1 oz heads, and 5" to 7" Fin-S Fish.
