I threw nothing but topwater baits (frog and buzzbait) because the heavy grass extends to within 6” of the surface and makes anything swimming or crawling subsurface virtually impossible.
Saturday afternoon after the rain I decided to go pad crashing. It was hot and humid so I only fished from 1-5.
Caught some, missed some and lost some. That’s frogging in the pads.

This morning I was paddling at 5 and thew a buzzbait in the open pockets of water and then frogged after the sun came up.
It was fun as always and I managed a few decent ones too.

Nothing like a top water explosion.

If there are fish to catch. I'll be there to my end.

This is an old school Cavitron buzzbait. Great buzzbait still today and has that unique squeak that makes them so good.

Trying to stay busy Tom. I’m doing what I love to do and keeping my mind busy. (Sounds like retirement from UPS feeders) lol
