Congrats on your long and distinguished career. Now the real living starts. Everyday is now the weekend. Congrats and tight lines Skip.

If I fish more I need more lures. If I had more lures I would fish more. I don't think I'm addicted do you?

Well sum beetch...congratulations Captain on a long distinguished career. beerchug

Thank you for the time you have spent with us here in your "Official Role" as a rep of the DEEP. Now lets talk about the future...

#1 Please make sure your replacement here has a sense of humor, it can be a valuable asset as you are well aware.

#2 This "Motorhome" you speak of, It's not a Delorian that you have to wear a tinfoil hat to drive, is it? biggrin

#3 Tell us please, that you haven't taken a job with the National Enquirer and are going to moonlight searching for Aliens, Elvis and that god-damn Ct Mountain Lion have you? pray

#4 I seem to not be getting those "Royalty Checks" from the computer windshield wipers anymore, is this how you purchased this motorhome? laugh

Skip congratulations may you and your wife be blessed with the time you can now have together, and we're glad that TeikasDad has decided to hang around.

I have been "off the grid" for the past ten days out in the Alleghany National Forest deer hunting but got a heads-up from another site member when I got back about your retirement.
I have been wondering for the past few years when this would happen. Now you will be able to get out and hunt and fish yourself. Maybe you can even shake Bob O. away from the land trust once in awhile so you can hit the Farmington River.
Your service to the sporting community was distinguished in so many ways it is hard to list them all but one that we saw most often was the professional way your team handled issues with us sportsmen. I was always impressed by how your young officers handled themselves. It was obvious that you hired well and trained them even better.
Being that I am active in other states, Ct. Encon officers are head and shoulders above their counterparts in other state agencies.
Being retired myself for 14 years I am now a qualified retirement professional and available for consultation on how to spend all of this free time you will have. You will wonder how you had time for work once you get into retirement mode.
I am glad Encon will still be on the site and that you will maintain your civilian membership. Hope we can fish together next spring up your way, we can drag Bob with us too.
Good Luck,
George
