Is it legal to buy a 22 online with out a valid registration in the state of CT? Looking to get goats and want something for coyotes.

Not legal without pistol permit or long gun cert with ammo cert, you are better off getting your pistol permit because it cover everything (don't think the jackass that wrote this law realized there will be many more pistol permit holders)

A little story about the pistol permit. Took the class on 8.24. Had all the paper work filled out and handed to resident state trooper on the 25. You have to give them 3 bank checks at that time. No way to check when they were cashed.Have not received anything yet. I live in Oxford. The day after the pistol permit I applied for a Pass Port. I got that in 2 weeks. I guess the government can do thing faster than the state.

Thats actually for your temp permit thats issued by your town. Once I got that I had no problems getting my permit though Troop E in Montville and I renewed this year at DPS in Middletown in and out in 20 minutes.

As Mac said its for the temp state permit. They are supposed to let you know after 8 weeks. Some are prompt, some take longer.
