Thanks to MrMikie for posting the pictures for me! At some point I'll figure out how to do it myself. And thanks for the lessons Mike. You taught me well.
I wasn't using a T-Man tube when I caught this one, but about 3 weeks ago, the previous PB on the boat was caught using the T-Man tube. That was caught by Jim Walsh, and was a nice fat 46.5"er! Jim had a ball bringing that one in.
I usually fish either around Fisher's Island or at Bartlett's reef. Two years ago I caught a 46"er at the reef, but this one came from Fisher's Island in about 28 feet of water.
It's amazing! I kept waking up that night after catching the fish. All I could think of was the fish, and hoping the photos came out ok! Whew!
Thanks everybody for the congrats! Now maybe a 53"er is in my future? Yeah, right!
Great job Marty! I was hoping to catch a 50"er at some point in my life but now you have upped the ante ! There is nothing quite as satisfying as the boat owner being the holder of the boats P.B.. It was easy to pick you out in the photo's, your the handsome one. How do you keep the woman from throwing themselves at you 24-7?
Beautiful fish. At that length it should have been a 50#. She looks a bit skinny for 52 inches (just an observation), but a very, very nice fish. I think if its girth was what an average 52 incher was...you'd be holding your self a 54 pounder!
