Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G Lens. Includes UV filter (sold separately at retail), storage bag and hood. Lens is less than 1 year old and in mint condition. Retails new for around $150 -- I'll take $80 for the lens with the UV filter. I recently replaced it with the new 55-300mm.

Wow, great price. I'd hop on it but I have one already.
Mind if I ask where you got the 300mm and if you like it? I've been considering one for some time, but the 200 shoots so well it's hard to pull the trigger on it.
I bought the 55-300 online from Adorama with the kit (cleaning brushes, UV filter etc.) Price was $365. Nikon just released it in September, so the price may go down. I've only taken a couple of shots with it. I think it's a bit faster than the 55-200, and I really like the extra zoom. Plus it has a metal mount, not plastic like the 200. I broke the 18-55 plastic mount kit lens off taking a spill in Montana in July. The only downside so far for the 300 is that it's wide open at f4.5 at 55mm, as opposed to f4 for the 200. I have a 50mm f1.4 for a low light portrait lens, so that's not a big deal for me.

It's only half the weight of the older 70-300mm that's in the $500+ range. Hmmm...nice Christmas gift.
And somebody will get a mini Christmas in October with the price on your 200mm.
It works on the D5000. PM me and we'll set something up. I'm leaving for Montauk on Friday for a few days so we can always do it when I get back as well.
