Colorodo or Minnesota. I just came back from 5 days in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area yesterday, my first trip. I always wanted to go to Washington and Oregon, but have yet to do so. I also did a 35 day cross country trip years ago as far as Arizona, Utah, Nevada, etc.. You never know till you see the grass on the other side. I am really thinking of moving to Minnesota...the land of 10,000 lakes.
If you liked Minneapolis/St. Paul, you should check out Duluth. It is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to. Talk about all the fishing you could ever hope for!!!!
OREGON....this state has it all.Great fishing(salt and fresh),great cities where if you drive 20-30 minutes away from them you are out in beautiful country. All the mountains, hiking, camping you could want.I have lived in Portland and spent time in Salem,Corvallis.Been back to visit several times since.Plus they got CASINOS too!!!
Retired=fishing, traveling, slot machines and NHRA.

Hendersonville, North Carolina. Family wants to move to charlotte, but I was to move to the mountains, where there is less chance of severe tornados, but you still get to see snow. It's also where trophy bass fishing meets trophy trout in the mountains. Not to mention the landlocked stripers in Lake Hiawasse! In a few years, I hope to move down with my family to NC. WooHoo!!
Although, I do like Vermont, if I had to stay up here, I'd probably move to somewhere around Manchester,VT, near the Batten Kill, and not to far from Champlain.
My college a$$ can't afford to start a life in CT!
Daughter moved to Co. about 10yrs ago, with no job lined up. Started somewhere as a temp. and worked up to a fulltime pos. Rented for a few yrs and I think about 5yrs. ago bought a house out side of Boulder and then a couple of years ago bought one in the lower mountains, she loves it there. She kept her first house which she rents out. She is 37yrs old. She was here for a visit last and left sat. morning and she got her first snow that night 2ins. Out there you have to be a rock climber, they climb any rock they see. Me I think I would stay in CT.,love the 4 seasons. Where else can you hunt for birds, catch a Alantic salmon, and stripe bass with in a 1/2 hour of your house in 1 day and have this color we are having now.
