Their best ever? That's saying a lot considering they have some great, older albums, including The Warning and Operation Mindcrime 1. Hope you're right. The last two albums were pretty bad.

Tates vocals are strong. The guitar work is good, but definitely doesn't have the Degarmo sound to it. Something is missing. Rockenfield and Jackson sound great. Some of the mixes and temp changes are a little odd. The album has some strong songs and some mediocre songs. Definitely a much better piece of work when compared to the last 3 or 4 albums they have put out. If you compare it to Mindcrime 1, there is no comparison. This album doesn't even come close to the original. When you listen to MC 1, you felt the story in the music. I don't get that same feel with this one. All in all its not bad, and is worth purchasing. I would give it a 7 or a 7.5 out of 10.
