ABA Divison 100 RI Beach Pond 4-26-08 (by Mike Clemente) Scott Gettings after taking almost 3 yrs of from competitive fishing due to college, marriage and work obligations will fish the ABA Divison 100 tournament Sat April 26th at Beach Pond. Scott will fish as a non-boater and will be available to sign autographs after the weigh- in at 3 PM. Boaters and Non boaters wanted for this tournament.. If you have no experience come on down we will pair you with a boater with experience.. You will learn a lot.. Beach Pond is located on the CT /RI Border and is a great fishery with largemouth and smallmouth bass.

Scott won the 2005 Jr Bassmaster World championship at the Alleghany river in PA after finishing 4th at the first and last Eastern Divisonal regional. Out of 97 Juniors at the World Championship Scott was the only competitor to catch two fish on the tough Alleghany River. Scott won with 2 lbs and 14 ounces. Scott's Boat captain was Jimmy Mize. Jimmy lead the classic on Day 1 with 6 lbs and 8 ounces. Remember this was the Classic that KVD won with lowest weight in the history of the classic. under 13 pounds.
