I was thinking of useing a gill net in ct for menhaden. I know the nets max is 60' and that it cost 100 bucks, what i am not sure of is it boat specific. Can I use my license and net on another person's boat?

The way I read it the license is specific to the vessel. If you look at the top of the application there are spots for the vessel information there. I may be wrong, so I would suggest you give Marine Fisheries a call and ask them. I don't deal with commercial fishing inland, but the last person who asked me about a similar situation got the same answer - the license is boat specific.
