"26lbs, it could happen!?" Soooo close. I weighed in 19-13 today with my big bass weighing in at 10-2. That's the biggest bass I've ever caught. Hopefully they will put a picture of it on the FLW website tonight. Today went alot better. I caught the big one in the first 10 minutes on the new Berkley hollow belly swimbait(I caught a 5lber on it as well). I started the morning off right and continued to catch fish throughout the day; I did loose another big one on a down deep jerkbait though. That fish would have brought me up to my 26lb goal. I'm still happy with my day, hopefully I can have the same kind of day tomorrow. The guy I'm fishing with tomorrow is in 2nd place and has been around big fish all week; I hope he's still got some left.

Too cool! You get your new PB LMB during a tourney! Best of luck tomorrow!

I came up short once again. I only had 4 fish the last day, and that put me in 15th place. A respectable finish, but every tournament I fish I feel like I can win. I would have liked a top 10 and I was only one 2 pounder short. First place didn't pay well anyway, I'm saving my win for a big payday. I caught my biggest fish (5.5lbs)the last day on that monster swimbait. I cast it out in 30' of water along a rocky bluff point and the fish annihilated it. It was awesome! I left Del Rio last night and drove into San Antonio. I stayed at a Super 8 about 10 miles from the airport so I didn't have to drive far in the morning. I called the front desk and asked for a wake up call for 4:15 so I could get up and shower, return the rental car and get through security with plenty of time to spare; my flight was for 6:40am. I say "was" because I never got a wake up call. I woke up at 7am. Missed my flight! Travel has been such a nightmare for me this year. To make it even worse, when I called the front desk to ask what had happened the woman laughed and said "I don't know what to tell you". So now I'm sitting at the front of the airport waiting for 10am when I'm allowed to check in and go sit inside the airport for another 4 hours before my new flight departs. I just want to get home! I did make the Forrest Wood Cup, catch the biggest bass of my life, and bring to the scales the largest limit I've ever caught in a tournament; so all in all it was a good week. Next up is the first FLW Tour event on Lake Toho down in Florida. I'll be at the Reynold's Garage and Marine booth at the outdoor show up in Hartford this coming Friday if anyone wants to stop by and chat. Here's one last picture from Lake Amistad. It was beautiful!
