FISHINVICIOUSPETE - Now I know where the vicious came from! Dude, this is JohnnyA here - former bassist for the H/C band PAYBACK. We played like a ton of shows with you guys back in the late 90's!! I can't believe this thread is STILL GOING!

Too many sub-topics to address here, from black eyes received in vicious pits at CBGB's, and even that club THE ANTHRAX in Norwalk back in the 80's..

My faves as of late:

Lamb Of God - "ashes of the wake"
Necrophagist - "epitaph" UNREAL MUSICIANS!!
Mastodon - "leviathan"

KEEP THIS THREAD GOING!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!

JohnnyA

Staind will perform LIVE on Howard Stern's very last KROQ broadcast airing December 16th. Staind's performance will include their own version of "This is Beetle" - a.k.a. The Beetlejuice Song.

The pictures on that site remind me of my mis-spent youth when my hair was long and i was sitting behind my drums with all my band trying to be a rock star!!!!

I hope the new Metallica Album doesn't SUCK!!! like the last one did, I listened to it once and literally threw it in the trash...........I'm a long time fan of Metallica but they need to get a little fire under their a$$es again in my opinion.

speaking of albums that suck- don't bother picking up the latest system of a down stuff - it is terrible... these guys used to be awesome - but they lost their touch on the last one (I didn't get the first half because of the bad reviews) - I think they need to turn the guitar player's mic off... too bad, because I was really looking forward to some new stuff from them

is there a new disturbed cd out or coming out? if it's already out, is it worth picking up? I need some new music

I thought the last sytem of a down cd, Mezmerize was brilliant. Completely different than any of the other crap out there. I;m surprized these guys are as big as they are due to the uniqueness of their sound. You didn't buy it because of its reviews??? If i were to buy music based on reviews, my cd case would probably be filled with kelly clarkson and that 50 cent person.

I got the second of that double release -'hypnotize'- so you think mesmerize was brilliant??? damn- I messed up then. then again, I have been a fan for a long time- so I had pretty high expectations for these cd's. and I was listening to reviews of other SOAD fans, not critics! haha

I really like the "steal this album" by them- pick that up if you get a chance
