I have wondered about this one for sometime.

I'll start out by telling how I became Mike Zip Code aka Zippy.

When I lived in New Haven I was getting my internet through AOL just like many of you are still doing today.
Back then there was just too much spam being let through and my mail was cluttered with tons of it everyday!
I knew that some of it was generated from websites that I visited or did any type of business with so I needed another e mail address to use for those purposes.
That was when I signed up with yahoo mail. I sat there trying all kinds of different names but couldn't find anything that was available. Out of desperation I decided to try (mike) plus my first initial of my last name (K) and the current zip code of where I was living (06511) and that was accepted.
So my new e mail address become (mike)+(k)+(06511)= mikek06511@yahoo.com

Later on I found this site quite by accident while searching the net for fishing sites.
Well I needed a name to register with and figured that I would never be posting anything here so why not just use my e mail name.
Yea well how dumb was I to think this would not become the most important site I know of and I would soon be posting all over the place! And interacting with most of the regulars that were on back then.
Finally it was Don P that started to break 'em on me by calling me Mikek90210 because of that popular tv show at that time.He then took off with it and added Mikek1231456789 and a couple of others as I remember.
After a while it became Mike zip code and then later since everyone is so lazy it was shorthened to Zippy.

So there ya go with my story.
I have seen some pretty wild names on here so who wants to tell us how they came up with theirs?
Please no wise guys that are registered with their real names,Blaine,Zach,Mitch, etc!

I'm 6'10" . It seems to fit! ;\)

A few years ago when I first met Tackleman and Bennett out on the sound they went past me and I recognized Pat's boat and CTF flag.

I pulled along side of them to introduce myself.

I said, "Hi I'm Tall 1" and Pat looks at me and says "NO $HIT!!!!!" \:D \:D \:D

A Classic Introduction!!!!!! \:D

My son, Travis, think's I'm ass backwards.
My friend's think I'm ass backwards.
People who know me think I'm ass backwards.
But I'm really.....Bass Ackwards.

289FS... as in the Stratos fish and ski boat I have. It is red, silver, and black with a Johnson GT150 on it. If anyone sees me on the water, be sure to say hi.

Well mine is kind of simple, I named my old boat "mydoghouse" so that when the wife sent me to the dog house it wasn't so bad after all.
