Another tie breaker would be who you pick to fill in last minute on your boat if one of your crew bailed on u.

I think kerry would be torn between live bait and flies and would puss out and stay inside and fish for scup.

Whereas Bush would want to go offshore drink some beers catch some shark, call secret service and have and have a nuke sub show up and let you blast away on the 50 cal at any seaguls trying to mess w/ your chum slick

Bait nice observation the media pundits have to boost him up because he is behind in those states but as soon as he catches up they'll slap him down because all they really want is a fight so we will listen to them. For after all that's all they really care about.

RMW 1 , Au contraire, mon ami! It is YOUR observation, succinctly stated, which is most interesting! Well put!

Le media stirring up le pot?! How the heck did I miss that? \:o

Bait,

Sorry about the caps, you're reading me wrong, not emotion or anger, just a writing style. Bad habit of mine! I'm having alot of fun with all of this and really enjoy a good debate, esp. politics! \:\) Although I am passionate about politics and my beliefs, and I do hate Ann Coulter, I even hate her more than Rush Limbaugh, because she's even smarmier and more annoying! And I stand by my statement! (B*t*h! :p )

I think her observation about the DNC and the NEA is only valid insofar as the Democrats actually care about public education and recognize that any voucher system will utimately be its undoing and will leave only the poor and working class out in the cold while the wealthy, who can already afford the best of the best, will be subsidized by the rest of us. Talk about the tail wagging the dog! And I again, stand by my statement. Vouchers NAY!

Like I said, why don't we privatize everything, police, fire service, ems, sewers and water, sanitation, education, social security, health care.... we can create a truly capitalist society where the rule is survival of the fittest. Wanna see where that will lead? Remember the French Revolution? Let them eat cake?

Anyone who cannot see the value of tempered and measured socialist programming, like public education or social security for example, and thinks that socialism is evil and won't work, must believe that Europe doesn't exist!

I'm not a teacher, my wife and daughter are, I am a Youth Services Officer with DCF at the CT Juvenile Training School in Middletown (code for juvenile corrections officer in the teenager jail), and a loyal member of AFSCME! If people who work with kids seem rude to you perhaps it is because of the frustrations we experience from working with other peoples troubled children with no support or appreciation from the system, or the general public. \:o We are not given the tools we need to perform our jobs. Its like giving someone a screwdriver and telling them to build a house. (I'd like a screwdriver, make it a double! :p \:D )

Never have so few,
been asked to do so much,
for so many,
with so little!
We the unwilling,
led by the unknowing,
are doing the impossible,
for the ungrateful.
We have done so much,
with so little,
for so long,
that we are now qualified to do anything,
and everything,
with practically nothing!

My interests and that of my wife are not self interests. I expect to gain nothing personally from any of the ideals to which I subscribe or the changes I would support. My wife and I make a very good living and I seek nothing for myself. I am concerned about those who have less than me, whereas so many right wingers seem to be concerned for those who have more than everyone! Trust me, we need not worry for them, they will be just fine!

My interests and those of my wife are geared towards educating the poor and working poor in order to break the cycle of poverty. Believe it or not, the kids that she can't reach in school, or that I cannot rehabilitate at CJTS, are not just their parents' problems, they will soon become yours and mine! If we do not effectively provide them with genuine education and opportunity they will continue to be a drain on our economy and society, and they will become our next generation of welfare recipients and prison population. Trust me, I live with it every day!

The rest of your last post I guess I have to pretty much agree with.

I didn't mean to be less than civil, again I apologize for the caps. But I am being honest. And again, I stand by my statements. (And Ann Coulter really is a b*t*h! \:D )

Thank you for an absolutely stimulating debate! \:\)

Your friend and fellow American,

Jim

RMW,

I said flyfishing was good because it is fun and challenging, I never said it was productive! \:D

Here is a nice quote from Dubya during the debate:

"It's-and it's hard work. I understand how hard it is. I get the casualty reports every day. I see on the TV screens how hard it is. But it's necessary work."

So he understands how hard it is because he "see on the TV screens how hard it is". Bush probably thinks that the Iraq War is a new reality show ! \:o \:o Probably that's why he never goes to military funerals.

Kerry understands because he saw people die in a real war!

Kerry keeps telling me he has a plan for Iraq. I still have not heard it. I guess I am going to have to go to his website?

What will I learn there? Will I learn that he will go on to talk to other great nations (I bet he means France and Germany)? Talk is cheap. Bush is doing something.

Kerry has said "this is the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time". He has also said that "I will track down the terrorists, wherever they are...." Aren't the f-ing terrorists in Iraq? They are there now. They blew up a deddication ceremony for a water polloution plant last night. I think the target was mostly children according to the news. The liberal media calls the attackers "insurgents". I don't know what an insurgent is, but the people doing these acts of barbarism in Iraq are terrorists.

I don't think it really matters what sandy desert country in the middle east this war is fought at. Iraq was a good choice because at the same time we took out Hussein and are in the process of liberating his people. This all at the cost of American lives, yes. But for those of you who forgot - we lost thousands in September of 2001. Diplomacy - clearly does not work with these seventh century camel f-ers.

Oh yeah, F John Kerry

Last night:

Andy Griffith (Kerry) vs. Barny Fife (Bush)

I never realized how much of a midget Bush was.

Don
Forgive me father for I have sinned. Not only I have been seen using a fly rod, but I am a windsurfer as well.

BTW, windsurfing as a sport requires much more manly qualities than driving a pickup truck while wearing a pair of cowboy boots.
