Don’t know what the circumstances are, just a reminder to use a harness. I have a couple ladder stands out I’ll still use my safety harness. I’ve had a few very close calls years ago where I could have been seriously injured. I’ll always us a harness since then. Very unfortunate.
That's just terrible. Please guys wear your safety gear.
This hits too close to home. My daughter lost her husband to a fall from a roof back in April. He had spent a week installing a skylight on a house. Always wore his safety harness. The job was done and he went back up just for a minute to take a picture for his website and slipped. Left behind a 3 year old daughter and 35 year old widow. The ramifications just aren't worth the risk.
I've got gas and I've got crabs. You wanna go out?

I saw something on FB saying the victim had a heart attack in his stand and was attempting to get down. Not sure if it was speculation or he had some contact with rescuers but it sounds plausible given the cardiac arrest. Not sure why more details weren't released. He may not have had ID on him at the time or his family hadn't been notified. Tragic either way...

Very sorry for your loss bob.
Wear your harness and use lifelines. I have lifelines on every stand. One saved me last year when the tree grew enough to bend out the attachment hook for the chain on a stand. I stepped in and it fell out immediately. Lifeline was money!
