I have been neglecting the Connecticut river smallies lately. I made a trip last night after work and caught several fish early on a Swamp Guppy produced by Huskybass. I switched to a top water, but the later it got the slower the bite.
Those fish are so strong and acrobatic they always put a smile on my face!

Nice Jon. Have to agree with you on that, they are quite the fish. Seems like you have them dialed in pretty good. I’ve been super busy around the house, reading these posts I’m going to have to get out with my boat early next week.
