Jon: I'm so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. That is a horrible disease.

Cannot imagine losing a spouse, Jon, very sorry to hear this.

I’ll be praying for you and your family in this difficult time.

37 years of faithfulness together is wonderful…..so few have any commitment anymore, especially when things get difficult.

Sorry to hear about your wife Jon! Alzheimer's is a terrible way to lose a loved one! Not that there's a good way but watching them slowly lose the ability to speak and do things for themselves is hard. I lost my Mom to Alzheimer's 8 years ago. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing she's in a better place now!

I feel for you Jon, you’re right enjoy each and every day as if it’s the last. Your wife was very blessed to have you there by her side. Next time I have a drink, I will toast to her and say a prayer for YOU and her. Keep getting out fishing and remembering those golden times you both shared.

Trust me, you will be tested beyond your breaking point. I share this with you to remind you that your health is everything! My wife was healthy and yet her brain failed her and she could no longer do anything for herself.
Ultimately, she couldn’t even swallow water or food, and she was placed on Morphine by our Hospice nurse until she peacefully passed away in her sleep.

I had 37 years with this beautiful woman.
Let this serve as a reminder to shower those closest to you with love, kindness and support. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.

A huge thank you to all of my CTF family who learned of Robin’s illness and have been there as support throughout this nightmare. You know who you are and I’ll never forget what you did for me.

I’ve been doing some fishing to help me to heal and the outdoors is my church.

These are the words of an amazing human being . For one to put such loss into these words is a sign of strength and love that few possess . Condolences and the utmost respect to you Jon .

"Politically correct" was initially coined by Leon Trotsky to refer favorably to those whose views remained in sync with the ever-shifting Bolshevik Party line. This was important, as "not PC" people risked prison or death.
