After a very long and extremely difficult battle with Altzheimers disease, my amazing wife, Robin, left this world to be with The Lord on April 16th.
I don’t share this news to receive sympathy in any way. We all have a cross to bear in life and the way that you weather the storm will teach you a lot about yourself as a human and as a spouse. Trust me, you will be tested beyond your breaking point. I share this with you to remind you that your health is everything! My wife was healthy and yet her brain failed her and she could no longer do anything for herself. Ultimately, she couldn’t even swallow water or food, and she was placed on Morphine by our Hospice nurse until she peacefully passed away in her sleep.
I had 37 years with this beautiful woman. Let this serve as a reminder to shower those closest to you with love, kindness and support. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.
A huge thank you to all of my CTF family who learned of Robin’s illness and have been there as support throughout this nightmare. You know who you are and I’ll never forget what you did for me.
I’ve been doing some fishing to help me to heal and the outdoors is my church.

Sorry for your loss Jon. You have been in our thoughts and prayers for some time now. When things are better for you and the private texts, ect have slowed to a trickle, we will get together for some " river time". That is a promise!
I'm really sorry to hear of your loss Jon. Marion and I will keep you in our prayers. Your support and help last year with my mother was appreciated and won't be forgotten.
I've got gas and I've got crabs. You wanna go out?
