With fall in full swing, the smallies are still chewin’! The strong southwest wind was no good for my hunting spots, so I threw the gear in the truck and headed back to the river to see if I could find some fish. It took a bit to piece together the pattern and locate them today, but the Strong SW wind allowed me to make extra long casts and cover water until I found what they were doing. The soft jerkbait bait and a swim bait provided me with about a dozen really nice fish. I keep thinking it’s over but the fish are still here fattening up. They’re thick and strong right now and I’m happy to get into them every chance I can get.
Amazing colors and boy those are some porky pigs! The big man is squeezing it out to the bitter end. During the weirdest season ever, Thanks for all your reports this year.
