Rhoads (easy one, pioneer of modern metal)
Zakk (extremely under rated, classical & jazz background is tremendous, "chicken pickin" thing started about 4 years into his career)

slacktide ..now i am friggn stumped jeez if you allow me to id guess at satriani or randy rhodes..

i agree wylde is awesome,,but Jake e lee ran into the same thing rhodes did and that was when they were being taught both of their teachers said that they both had nothing left to teach them..personally i think Lee is overlooked

I would guess Rhodes too, cant think of anyone prior to them that utilized it all that much.
