I hadn't heard much in the way of good reports, but I was anxious to get the new boat salty, so I headed to the lower river yesterday. Still not much going on there. Incoming tide clears the water south of 95, but chills it, too. Then a few hours into the outgoing tide, it's brown again. Water temp on the flats yesterday started at 59~60 -- two hours into the incoming -- and was 63 when I left about 3pm. White lure visibility was almost 3 feet early in the AM. About a foot and a half at most, mid-afternoon.
Caught 3 keepers (a 28 and two 34s) on the incoming. Best I could do on the outgoing was a lone,'close but no cigar'. Bunch of schoolies in between. Decent schools of bunker out in the channel, but not nearly as many as usual.
Most of my fish came on a small (<4") walking plug.

Everybody's got to believe something — I believe I'll go fishing.

Been slow for me as well. Livelining bunker on the flats isn't doing much. Bluefish bite them in half or the stripers just play with them and follow the bunker around without committing. Only landed two fish around 34" for a few days of fishing.

Did pretty good last sunday afternoon, seeing i was the only one out there conditions were perfect. Cloudy with rain storm on the way, last of outgoing tide. Got into a nice bunch of stripers and big blues all on top 7" plastics
