The guy must be a lawyer. It seems like radio silence has descended on who they are or what direction the investigation is taking.
VERY Glad you are ok. Very pleased they think they found the boat. Very hopeful they hold them to tak.
Boat Flees Accident in Montauk, Leaving Two People Afloat Update: The East Hampton Town Marine Patrol, which is part of the town's Police Department, is investigating a boating accident that happened off Montauk Point on Thursday night.
In a statement issued Friday night, Chief Harbormaster Ed Michels said that "a 21-foot Sea Swirl Striper was struck by another boat, disabling it." The accident occurred in the ocean one mile north-northeast of Montauk Point.
Chief Michels confirmed that the second boat left the scene, but said so only after the Coast Guard had responded and escorted the two occupants back to Lake Montauk. with a statement like that i also wonder who the other boater is. you usually don't have law enforcement sticking up for the criminals.

That is absolutely a lie. Have had a lot of dealings with the police today, and I am not happy at all with how this is going.

Have you retained an attorney ? If not you should . Have you contacted the CG about the discrepancies ?
.
"Politically correct" was initially coined by Leon Trotsky to refer favorably to those whose views remained in sync with the ever-shifting Bolshevik Party line. This was important, as "not PC" people risked prison or death.

Sounds like this guy is a cop or a powerful person with connections, hope your not speaking to the police without a maritime attorney, best of luck but I don't like the direction this is going....

It would appear that the conspiracy theorists are hard at work here. Lets take a deep breath and give LE a chance to work the case before we pass judgement. In most cases, justice does not happen overnight.

are you talking about chief michels press release? it does sound fishy to me also.
I hope you notified Coast Guard and authorities. Someone should notice a smashed up bow on a boat, and hear about this incident and put two and two together. Get the word out as much and as fast as you can. Glad you are alright.
Behold the fisherman. Mighty are his preparations. He arises early and full of hope. He fishes all day and returns late in the evening, smelling afoul, and the truth is not in him.
