First ever CTFISHERMAN.COM KIDS ON ICE

Where: Silver Lake, Berlin, Ct.
State boat launch
When: SUNDAY January 25, 2015 (postponed from 24th)
Time : 8am-2pm
Pizza delivery lunch break at 12:30 p.m. Weigh in for prizes 12 pm. For those who want to fish more, we'll be on the ice until 2pm or later.
All CTF members' kids, and guests' kids are welcome. FREE entry. Every kid will win something.

Rules: There are no rules, put kids on fish!
This is a CTF family-oriented event, and would like to keep the most of the action limited to an area that we can all join in the fun, walk around see what everyone else is doing, high five someone who catches, and be very social. We will need some volunteers to help drill holes, assist the kids, and a designated person to walk or skate around with a tournament scale, sign kids in, weigh in, and even take pictures. Please post here or PM Mitch or myself if you're interested.
Prizes will be awarded by catagory:
Heaviest panfish, (sunfish species)
Heaviest bass
Heaviest pickerel
Heaviest “other” (crappie, perch, catfish, or trout, etc.)
Option to catch & release if we have a dedicated weigh-in helper.
There will be plastic cups of jigging bait and jigs at the sign up area.


bring your own bait bucket for the shiners in the same location.

Mitch....what no Silvia?!!! That's no way to get the guys to sign up!

If my out of state work doesn't formalize I will plan to attend either with my kids and/or with other ice fishing buddies and help out. I can't commit yet.

This will be a great event! I am sure there will be a lot of CTF helpers for this event.

I am In with my two girls Jadyn '9' and Vivian almost'4'. I have lots of tip ups that were given to me from my Canadian step father,a hand auger, 2 sleds. I have never been ice fishing before.If its ok I will see if my brother and his son '10' also my buddy Jeff and his son Phil '9' and his daughter Lilly'7'they are not members yet, but huge fish heads.

Tim - You better line up the taxidermist right now brotha! Bring some newspaper, tin foil, plastic garbage bags, and a cooler for proper pre-taxidermy prep.
