Congrats to all the lucky ones that caught fish today .
What time did you catch them? I went out with a couple of guys from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM and no stripers. We went to Hatchets with the T&W that I have had great luck with until the last two times out. The only things that we caught with the tube was one anchor line (of another boat), one prop (mine), and one porgy. We went over to Black point and got a few porgies, but didn't see any stripers. I guess I should have used those porgies.

MOOOOO! I'm assuming outer Bartletts. Also how do you hook porgys. My only experience was a few missed hits and a few "jittering" porgy heads.

Great Day Guys!!

T-Man,Frank,,Blaine, Congrats!!!! What a day! BWB and I were fortunate to get the blow by blow details of Striper Heavan from Frank as we enjoyed a few beers by our picnic table at our beach house in old lyme. Frank thanks for sharing such a wonderful day with me. Joey Fish

Shad limit Blaine is 6 fish per angler that is 12 shad for the two of you, plenty for fishing awhile. Although with a day like today maybe not enough but my well will barely keep them alive long enough to get back out to the reef when loaded with 12.

Yeah, like I said, I wish they'd raise the limit. 6 per day and it's a combination of American and Hickories... Who the hell eats hickories?????

To keep more than 5 or 6 alive, I've started carrying and extra tub with me. It works OK but I think today convinced me to by a real tank and aerator combo. It would be nice to go out with 12 and keep them alive ;\)

Blaine - I was doing the same thing with a tub last summer; my livewell can really only tolerate 5 or 6 shad max, so I rigged up a bigger tub, running the water to the tub through a piece of tubing from the livewell pump. I think it is a matter of how much room the fish have rather than an issue of oxygen.

Anyway, congrats on a great day; this post got my heart racing a bit!
