Loc: CT. Got a problem with that?
A friend of mine from California is considering moving to CT. His job will be in Danbury. He is 37 and single so he wants to live where there is some nightlife. and of course doesn't want to spend hours commuting. Any suggestions or comments on where in that part of CT would be a cool place to live.
thanks in advance.

If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one.

I would rather be closer to work and travel for nightlife for more free time and less commuting expense. Also depends upon where in California he lives. If he is out in one of the valleys on a farm Danbury will be plenty active. In general, Californians would find northern Fairfield County, Litchfield County and Dutchess County NY to be really gorgeous places to live.
Commuting on route 7 between norwalk and danbury is a clusterf#ck whichever direction you're going. Better learn them back roads for sanity sake. Lots of nice places around Danbury to live if you keep an open mind...
If he is working in Danbury he should look into the surounding towns; Redding, New Fairfield, Brookfield, Bethel. Traveling anywhere on 7 or the merrit is a nightmare in the mornings and afternoon. Just wait and see Rt. 7 when the kids go back to school!
if it was me I'ld live near bantam but for night life norwalk or stanford are the best, but due to route 7 i'ld say move to a town just south of danbury and make the drive to SoNo for night life.

If bluefish were the size of bluefin, I would poison the whole ocean.
