I was up Sick last night till 1:45am, and slept in till 5:30am.
I got into one of my state land spots and was setup 25 feet high in my stand at 7:30am. When the wind died down for a few minutes, i gave out a few grunts.Within 15 min I heard a twig snap and looked down to see a good buck at 20 yards and closing in fast. I took him on the point of the shoulder, taking out one lung and the top of his heart. He only made it about 60yds and piled up.What a great day to be in the woods. Wet,overcast and raining lightly, perfect!
One of my better shotgun bucks, I have been hunting hard this last week and was only seeing little bucks and a lot of does.

So far it's been another great season! rawk

I'm not sure how you always manage to knock those big boys down or even find quality bucks like that time and time again but congrats I'm thoroughly impressed.

Great Buck! Congrats! Was He alone or with a doe? Is that a Red-Dot on your shotgun?
