Unbelievable! Very nice indeed. And, I've noticed you do it year in and year out so my hats off to you sir. You obviously have a sweet spot there and as long as your letting the small bucks walk you'll continue to guarantee future good bucks in that spot and in that area in general. Your doing it right!

I finished the European mount, Thought some might want to see how it came out. I tried a European mount on the deer in my avatar but I had messed it up.This one came out great.

I moved the pics to page 1 of this post.

Nice job on that. I did one 3 years ago and am planning to do the 9 pointer I got this year too. Lots of work though

I skinned out the head removing as much as I could including the eyes and lower jaw. Then I cut under the skull removing the last vertebrae and exposing a one inch hole to remove the brain. Then I placed it in a large crock pot just covering the skull, and cooked on high for 48 hours adding water to keep it covered! then using a knife then abrasive pad cleaned it well. cleaning the nasal area was a little tough. you need to be careful because the bone separates easily when still wet but can be put back together carefully and glued if needed.
then used peroxide to whiten!

You did a good with it Zac. When I was in Texas a couple weeks ago one of the guy's down there brought in one he had just gotten the week before and did the same thing. He did everything you did but also used a power washer. Said it blasts a lot of the flesh clean off after boiling
