Wow, sorry to hear that. You'd think they would have given somebody a warning. I hope you get lucky and someone cancels in time for you to make it.

There was a glimmer of hope today. I spoke with Berkley and FLW told them someone was considering dropping out of the tournament. If they call me by Tuesday, I'll hop in my Suburban and drive the 21 hours out there. My fingers are crossed! On the flip side, I'm now home for the Outdoor Expo in Suffern NY and will be there Friday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday; if anyone wants to stop by and talk fishing I'll be at the Minn Kota booth. I think Hank Parker will be there too.

Good luck Jess. Thanks for all of your posts.

I may get to that show tomorrow evening. If so, I'll definitely stop by.

While I was working at the Suffern show on Sunday I got the call; someone had dropped out and I was in. They asked if I wanted to fish and I told them I was getting in my truck to drive out now. I left the show at noon and drove until 8; I got a hotel room for the night. I left at 8 the next morning and drove until I got here tonight at 8. It was a long drive, but I'm happy to be here. I don't have anyone to practice with for the last day, but hopefully I can make a few calls tonight and find someone to fish with. If not I'll have plenty of time to organize my stuff.

Karate, I was typing when you were. My luck comments had nothing to do with your post.
