I was just asked by a local officer if someone can shoot on private property, when the rounds may travel to a public property. I thought you had to have a berm or natural hill to stop the rounds. Any help or section of the CGS will be appreciated. Thanks
Rounds impacting on public property??? Any public property may have people there, whether hunting or walking or whatever. Sounds incredibly stupid and negligent!!

We (DEP) have nothing to do with target shooting other than the ranges on our property. You would need to contact the local PD, or if the CSP covers your town, contact the local state police barracks for their take on it.

As far as i know you can shoot on private property with permission as long as there is an appropriate backstop (BIG HILL or BURM) on that property. But at the same time you cant shoot in direction of houses people ect...
