I don't like the 100% increase either. But for the people who fish often it is still a deal. $40 a year? For those of you that choose not to buy a license, don't complain when the stocking program gets cut again because of revenue drop.
If there are fish to catch. I'll be there to my end.

I purchased my combo license last week. $50 is a complete rip off. I personally do not want to take a chance of getting a fine ot ticket. I fish almost year round so I would have a high chance of being checked. I have backed out of some tournies in Ma because I just don't want to but any more licences. I purchase a full year out of state ME licence each year but this year I might buy just a weekly for when I am up there.
The real loss with be the on the fringe fishermen. The people who fish a hand full of times throughout the year. People who have kids that are just old enough to need one and out of state guests who are here for a weekend. I think most of these people will be the one to take a chance and not pay.
I have had to make certin people I fish with buy one each year. Including some site members. This year I can already hear them say I will rather take the chance of the $75 fine.
I hate to do it put when I get paired up with strangers in tournies before they get on my boat I might have to check thier license myself.

How about this, I live less than a minute from CT and just dropped $100 on a combo license, and I will probably only ice fish in freshwater, ad will only do that maybe 3 times. What a DEAL!!
