Well, it's a new year. Last year wasn't the greatest, but I'm ready to get a fresh start this year. I still haven't heard from FLW about my sponsorship yet. The first FLW Series tournament down on Okeechobee starts next week and I won't be there for it. The first Tour tournament isn't until the second week in February, so there's still hope. Since I am home I'll be working the outdoor shows. I'll be working the Hartford boat show this Friday and Saturday if anyone wants to stop by and talk fishing. I'll be at Reynold's booth on Friday and Atlantic Outboard's on Saturday.

Well, I just got the phone call and it wasn't good news. Proctor and Gamble not only cut down the size of the team, but cut the Co-anglers completely; I didn't get a spot on the team as a Co or Pro. I didn't have the money to put down the deposits for the Tour when they were due and now am not able to fish them at all. It's pretty disappointing, but life goes on. I'll be fishing the Northern Stren's, and the BASS Northern Opens. Hopefully I can have a great year and qualify for the Classic and the Forest Wood Cup through the Stren Championship. I guess when things are bad you have to look for the positives in what you're dealt. See everyone at the shows!

The poll only included successfull people. So I am thinking that percentage was 100% that found their way back up the ladder. Otherwise they would not be successfull.

Yours is truly a tough way to make a living Jess! These times are going to separate the wheat from the chaff. You know you have the skills to get it done on the water. Importantly, from what you post here, you also seem to have the skills to deliver value for sponsors in the other elements as well. Best of luck this year and I look forward to your posts.

Regards - Chris
