Just packing my stuff for the trip down to Wheeler Lake in Alabama for the Stren Championship. I'm really excited about this tournament. With the weather just starting to cool down, the bass should be getting active. My new Abu Veritas rods got here yesterday and they are absolutely awesome. I haven't fished with them yet, but they're one of the lightest rods I've ever held; I can't believe they sell for $99. I can't wait to fish with them. My cousin is driving up from Birmingham to come practice with me again, so it should be a good time. This time we're staying with a bunch of buddies at a house, so the accomodations are a little better than the campsite we had last year. My plan was to make the cut at Erie and then win the Championship, but I was just off the mark with the last tournament. I still plan on winning the Championship however, so hopefully the fish are on the same page as me. I think I can catch them on a swimbait and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!

He is actually up on Champlain right now fishing the FLW Everstart tournament. I'll let him know people are missing his reports.
