Buck,

(I will try to be brief.)

I respectfully disagree.

This and the other document I posted before prove that in 1978 Kerry was discharged from the "THE US NAVAL RESERVE", nothing more and nothing less. He was HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM THE ACTIVE DUTY in 1970.

 Quote:

March 17, 1969 The policy of Coastal Squadron One, the swift boat command, was to send home any individual who is wounded three times in action. After sustaining his third wound from enemy action in Vietnam, Kerry was granted relief under this policy.

Early April, 1969 Kerry departs Vietnam

April 11, 1969 Kerry reports for duty at the Military Sea Transportation Service, U.S. Atlantic Fleet in Brooklyn, NY.

January 1, 1970 Kerry promoted to (full) Lieutenant

January 3, 1970 Kerry requests discharge

March 1, 1970 Kerry’s date of separation from Active Duty

April 29, 1970 Kerry listed as Registrant who has completed service
Kerry remained on the Navy Reserve duty until 1978, when he was HONORABLY discharged from the Navy Reserve.

Even state side he was on the the Navy Reserve duty longer than Bush was in the National Guard.

You still didn't answer my question about Bush's record.

Was the retired Lieutenant Colonel Albert C. Lloyd Jr., the former Texas Air National Guard personnel chief, lying through his teeth when he said:

"(Bush) took a chance that he could be called up for active duty. But the war was winding down, and he probably knew that the Air Force was not enforcing the penalty. . ."
