Sadly, I don’t think I will be fishing Piketoberfest this year.
My boat has been down since 7/5. I had a fuel delivery issue that turned out to be a chafed fuel line between the gas tank and water/fuel separator. I got that replaced and fired up the engine only to find another issue. When I put it gear, I got a heavy knocking sound and the engine shakes like there’s something wrong with the “transmission”.
Since I got divorced last December, I was laid off from my job of 28 years back in January and was out of work for 6 months, I don’t quite have the money to put my boat in the shop for repairs. This will be the first Piketoberfest I have missed since I started fishing it in 2009 I believe. 🙁
