The impact on our fishing is not noticable at this time. I will always be looking over my shoulder to see if anything starts to show as lack or a brood stock for any future year or sudden lack of fish where we laways had them (dead zones) for lack of oxygen. So far the fish are hitting the docks hard with the boats having good trips. The oil is being found as tar mats and tar balls. The oil in the marshes is still there and about the first of april that will be attacked by a group of people. We had to test several ways to clean it up and they finally decided on the best one of those methods. It has not gone away but the fears of an exon spill or ir running into the Atlantic and up the coast are not happening. What happened to what they sank and did not break up has still to be seen. Hopefully mother nature will be strong enough toovercome it. The Exon spill was not the same form of oil.
Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
