I've been crazy busy with work the past year so I haven't turned the key on my boat now for two years and haven't had anything to report regarding fishing and little time to visit the site but I had to make time to check out the deer hunting reports. I knew you'd get another brute and I wanted to see what Jon and Will and Spikehorn and Mycept and Kevin and the rest of the deer hunters were up to this season.

Another great year of big buck kills at CTF. There are some damn fine deer hunters on this site.

I took a basket 8 point this year. About 145 pounds or so on the hoof. Nothing like the brute you bagged or some of the bigger bucks I've shot in the past. Didn't have much time to hunt this year so I took the first and only rack buck I saw. Best thing about it was it was the first buck I ever grunted in and its the first buck I've shot on my own property and I saw this buck three times last year and found his shed (as a 6 pointer) this summer.

I'll be making a short post about the hunt and if I can get the pics off my Droid I'll upload them to the site.

Congrats again on your fine Buck Isaac. That buck is a real brute with a great rack. You shoot some really fine bucks and the fact you get them on state land is even more impressive.
