Mission accomplished! YA HOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!

After countless trips to the Housi in over the past several years, I have finally managed to catch a striper for 12 months straight. I've enjoyed each and every trip, many with site members, over the past year. Plenty of skunks but LOTS of fish.

I managed 2 fish today, 23" and 26". Both were caught on 3" pearl shad bodies on a 1/4 oz jighead.

Here is a photo of the 26".

For you other guys with some goals out there that I know of, RiverRat(ice species), Blaine(Norwich ice? you nut)), DonP(50+), John from Madison(tuna on the Icarus), and many more I forgot to mention fish hard and most of all, enjoy the ride !!!!

Frank

I can't wait to check out that river with you during the run. Wait till you see some of the stuff I am making for plugging and jigging.....

Hey Frank-Are you fishing from shore? At the Derby dam? My fishing goal for this year is to finally catch a striper on a fly rod. I have caught a few stripers on conventional gear in salt water, but I really don't know anything about catching stripers. Can you catch them wading in the Housatonic? I don't have a boat. I now live about 5 minutes from the Derby dam, so I want to give it a try.
