In 21 years of turkey hunting, today was one of the very best!

I had the opportunity to take my 14 year old nephew, Gerry out hunting for youth day turkey.
We arrived at our state land spot and setup at first light.
We had turkeys gobbling as we where setting up, but didn't get them interested in our calling.
After calling for 45 min,we finally had a hen sneak through, followed by 2 Jakes.
When Gerry had a clean shot I told him to take it. He dropped the first Jake with a perfect head shot!
The second Bird ran off a little ways, and I called a couple of times and he came right back, letting Gerry make a perfect head shot again!
What a great hunt,Gerry Got his first ever turkeys, and a double too!!
